I have watched Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and make a comic using Comic Life in class it is about a boy who is perceived by everyone as an outsider and desperately wants to fit in his high school and wants to belong to society. He is treated like dirt by all of the other kids especially by the American football guys and fits into no friendship group. He also has a crush on a girl called Noel who is seen as the popular good-looking girl who is dating the popular football jock. He feels like he has no chance with Noel as he feels like the opposite to her as he thinks he is ugly and a loner. The song is based off a crime that happened in the woods and the person was wearing heavy metal t shirt. At the end of the video he gets the dance with Noel however he wakes up and realise it was all a dream.

In the chorus he talks about listening to Iron Maiden and how it is different to what everyone else listens to. This foreshadows about the back story behind the song which was about a boy who was killed in one of the band members home town. The boy was different and he listened to different music to everyone else and that scared the band member as he was like that too.
